Week 8

Week 8 didn't go so well. I did the 2 miles Wednesday, and I did 2 miles on Saturday. That was it. I had a cold on Sunday (that thankfully seems to be short-lived), but I had no desire to walk. And the rest of the week I was just lazy or busy! Sigh. I best get back on track....

Wednesday Training

I rested on both Monday and Tuesday. Then I walked 2 miles on Wednesday. There was a garage sale I wanted to go to, and Hubby had the car. It is a hazard of a one car lifestyle...you can't always do what you want to when you want to. But I loaded Kutey into the stroller, and Kiddo and I walked to the garage sale a mile away. Then we walked back (with a bag of clothes for Kutey). Kiddo can walk that far without trouble, though I sometimes have to distract him a bit. We play I spy, we count fire hydrants and houses between them, we listen to birds and try to find them, etc. As long as he doesn't focus on the fact that all we are doing is walking, he is fine. Take after me a bit, huh.

Week 8 plan

Monday: rest

Tuesday: 3 miles

Wednesday: 15 minutes of cross training (you'd think I could get that in!)

Thursday: 5 miles (the long walk this week)

Friday: 30 minutes of cross training

Saturday: 4 miles

Sunday: 3 miles

This is apparently a "recovery" week, whatever that means, so the weekend walks are short. Though really, I never thought I would be calling 4 miles "short."
