The Breast Cancer 3 Day

I have committed to walking 60 miles in 3 days with the Breast Cancer 3 day.

In May of 2004, I learned my mother had breast cancer. A little over 4 years later, I watched as she lay dying of this wretched disease. I walk so that maybe, just maybe, we can make it so that in the not so distant future no woman will have to go through what she went through. I walk because she cannot. I walk because I alone cannot cure breast cancer, but together WE can cure breast cancer. We can make the world a place where little girls grow up learning that breast cancer is something women used to die from, but not something that will kill them. We can relegate breast cancer to a place in the history books.
